CFAO SOUTH AFRICA APPOINTS JULIAN VISAGIE AS EXECUTIVE MEMBER
CFAO South Africa is pleased to announce the appointment of Julian Visagie, Managing Director of Hertz Rent a Car Southern Africa, to the CFAO South Africa Executive Committee. This appointment reinforces the strategic importance of vehicle rental within the CFAO South Africa integrated mobility ecosystem.

As the third-largest vehicle rental provider in the region, the Southern African franchise boasts over 40 strategically located branches across South Africa, Botswana, and Namibia, and a portfolio that includes Firefly, Dollar, Thrifty, and the flagship brand, Hertz.
Julian brings more than three decades of retail and automotive leadership experience, including five years leading Hertz Southern Africa through a successful turnaround grounded in customer-centricity, operational discipline, and strong OEM partnerships. “Julian will continue to play a strategic role in strengthening our vehicle rental business and aligning its growth with the broader CFAO Group footprint across the continent,” says Andrew Velleman, Group CEO of CFAO South Africa. “This appointment marks an important step in elevating rental as a strategic pillar within our mobility platform.”
